The Blue-ray DVD recorder is a device that can record a 1080p HD video and surround sound on a special Blu-ray disc. It can recorded on a Blue-ray rewritable discs and can be played both in high-def and on the standard DVD. A Blu-ray can contain up to 25GB or 50GB depending on if it is a single or a duel layer which much more impressive than the standard 4.7GB or 9.4GB. The reasoning behind this are the layers within the machine. A Blu-ray contains blue layers that are a lot shower in wavelength than the red lights on standard DVD recorder. This creates a smaller recorder surface, allowing more data to be stored on the Blu-ray disc.

A Blu-ray DVD recorder works at great speed and can convert the scanning to progressive. This is useful for HD movies and for televisions with LCD or TFT monitors. Another advantage of a Blu-ray DVD recorder is that the large storage capacity allows for the transmission of the highest quality sound bytes. This can create a surround sound that is far superior to any other standard DVD sound and can create enhanced listening for any type of sound system.

Top of the line Blu-ray DVD recorders can record in any format and carry multiple functions. The newest editions of Blu-ray DVD include features like LAN connectivity, the option to record multiple recordings at once, the ability to view a recording while another program is being recorded, a copy function, and more. The Blu-ray DVD is the latest advancement in recording and DVD technology and is the best type of recorder one can have.

Available Blueray DVD Recorder

Blueray DVD recorders are not yet available to the public as they are in production and will eventually be released to the greater masses. For now, only readers of Blueray disc technology are being offered as the movie and video game companies are the only ones allowed to produce blueray discs. It is important to remember that not everyone needs to records blueray discs. They will have a capacity large enough to carry an entire series of a television show and that may be too much for some people to spend their money on with blueray recordable discs. There are currently Blueray DVD combo reader and writers that read blueray discs but have the ability to burn DVDs and CDs. These are most definitely available for purchase and use in computer systems around the world.

Blueray recordable media discs will not really be available for some time. Blueray discs will most likely cost more because of their storage potential and the various materials they will be made of. It is important to really think of actual Blueray recordable media to be a much smaller scale than that of the original proprietary format just as they did with DVDs in the past. DVDs have the potential to hold 16 Gigabytes of actual recordable space on them but DVD recordable media has much less, usually about 4.6 Gigabytes. This is a very misleading and generally unfair disadvantage for us. It would be great if the Blueray recordable discs were to give at least 32 gigabytes of recordable space, as we would be able to use them to back up a computer system relatively easy on them. These discs would be able to hold much more if possible and people would be very happy to be able to save their entire digital picture and video compilation for the last decade onto a single disc!

It Didn’t Take Long for Blu-ray Recorders to Arrive

It’s funny to take a minute and look back at how much technology has progressed over the last one to two decades. Although it now seems like forever ago, it honestly was not that long ago when everyone was still using VCRs to watch their favorite movies on VHS, and also using blank VHS tapes to record programming from television that they wanted to watch in the future. After VHS, we moved into the era of DVDs. Eventually, not only could you watch movies on DVDs, but you could also record television programming onto DVDs. Additionally, many people choose to use their DVR to record programming from their television.

While many people thought that DVDs would last for decades, there is already a new technology that has emerged. The new technology that has emerged is Blu-ray. While many people would say that Blu-ray discs look exactly like DVD discs, there is a huge amount of difference between the two technologies. As a result, if you want to watch movies on Blu-ray discs, you have to buy a special Blu-ray player (even though Blu-ray discs fit into DVD players, that doesn’t mean they actually play).

As with DVDs, while you could originally only watch movies on Blu-ray discs, there are now Blu-ray recorders which allow you to store media on Blu-ray discs. The amazing thing about Blu-ray recorders it that because Blu-ray discs can hold so much media, you can use a Blu-ray recorder to put up to 25GB of data and media onto a single Blu-ray disc!
